PRODUCING / COLLABORATION

My process is built around collaboration, and the core of your song. I focus at refining each element for emotional impact, and work across genres, with a strong foundation in experimental and modern sounds to enhance the artist’s intention. We can also go beyond and bounce some ideas!

I create custom sound and original music that supports narrative, mood, and emotion, whether for film, games, installations, or standalone works. From atmospheric textures to rhythmic frameworks, I design and compose with detail and intention.

Who, What, Why?

Mike has played guitar and bass in bands, built and run a rehearsal space, DJ’s and produces a legendary music podcast which wildly expands his music knowledge and tastes. As this has naturally slid into music production and an ever expanding technical and musical skill set, he’s now mixed, produced and mastered several artists albums, sometimes contributing further instrumentation & vocals. This runs alongside a personal and ongoing musical exploration and primal need to create and collaborate.

PODCAST WITH DJ FITZ

The idea formed over a meal in a Chinese restaurant in Dalston Junction with DJ Fitz (do check him out, a stone cold legend in his own right). In the age of mp3 and soulless playlist streaming, it was conceived as an old skool style mixtape for all our friends and anyone else who cares to join the party. Every episode has been literally that. An ever morphing group of misfits gathered at impromptu locations, busting out heavy jams and talkin’ shoite. The tracks are wildly eclectic, often rare and hard to find. With the help of DJ Rory ‘Bucko’ Macandrew, we saw it go global, and become the soundtrack to many a touring band’s bus.Over the years we’ve enjoyed the company and contributions of special guests Animal Collective, Black Dice, Brad Truax, tUnE-yArDs, HTRK, Conrad Standish, Wooden Shjips, Benjamin John Power, Elijah Wood, DJ Quesadilla to name a few. Producing this podcast has been a helluva musical education to say the least. ...dive in…
